Since approximately 1987, Dan has lived on a beautiful 600 acre horse ranch high in the Colorado Rockies. In respect for his privacy, I will not reveal it's exact location, but the cover-photo of "High Country Snows" was taken on the property. Dan built a complete studio on the property in the late 1980's and this is where most of his recent work has been recorded.

He spends every Summer in a modest old 19th century house on an island off the coast of Maine. (Again, I won't reveal it's exact location) There Dan can sail his beloved 32 ft wooden yawl, Serenade, built in 1963 and recharge his batteries for the coming year.
