You asked for concert reviews, so here goes...

Dan played at the Britt Festival nestled in the hills of Southern Oregon on
July 16. His opening act was Beth Nielsen Chapman. Hopefully she'll open
for more of his shows, because she was absolutely great! She played from her
most notable songs, including "Sand and Water" and "This Kiss", which is a
recent hit for Faith Hill. I ran out and bought her Greatest Hits CD the
next day! Her music complemented Dan's very well.

Dan played for about two hours, performing some songs I've never heard him do
in concert before (I've seen him four times, but not since, oh, 1990, I
guess). For those of you who saw him tour in support of "High Country
Snows", this concert was just as energetic as that one was (without a band,
of course). He played (in no particular order and maybe a few others, too):
Forefathers, Part Of The Plan, Longer, Old Tennessee, Illinois, Leader Of The
Band, Run For The Roses, Captured Angel, Don't Lose Heart, Todos Santos,
Eleanor Rigby (instrumental), and a new cut from his upcoming Christmas album
entitled Christmas Morn. Unfortunately I had to leave just as he was
wrapping up, but I thought I heard "Same Old Lang Syne" as an encore.

It was, to sum it up, a great evening.
